First Time in Cebu & Bohol: A Simple 4-Day Itinerary

A day-by-day plan for families, couples and barkadas visiting Cebu and Bohol for the first time.

Travel Tips Travel guide · Cebu & Bohol

The Chocolate Hills, the Temple of Leah, the Moalboal sardine run, and whale sharks in Oslob

Four days is a great amount of time for a first trip to Cebu and Bohol. You can see the city, swim with sea turtles in Moalboal, walk on a white sandbar in Oslob, and see the Chocolate Hills in Bohol. This guide follows the route of our 4D3N Cebu City – Moalboal – Oslob – Bohol tour, so you can picture each day before you book.

Day 1: Cebu City

Start with Cebu's most-photographed spots, including Sirao Garden and the Temple of Leah in the hills above the city, plus city highlights.

Good to know: wear comfortable shoes and bring water. Our driver-guide picks you up from your hotel or the airport, depending on your booking.

Day 2: Moalboal

Head south to Moalboal, one of the best places in Cebu to see the famous sardine run and sea turtles close to shore. In the afternoon, cool off at the turquoise pools of Kawasan Falls.

Optional: canyoneering in Badian is a popular add-on. It is not included in the package, and you pay on site only if you choose to join.

Day 3: Oslob

Day 3 takes you to the southern tip of Cebu: the white sandbar of Sumilon Island, the curtain-like Tumalog Falls, and the castle-like Simala Shrine.

Optional: whale shark watching in Oslob is not included in the package. You pay on site only if you choose to join.

Day 4: Bohol Countryside

Cross to Bohol by ferry (ferry fare included) to see the Chocolate Hills and the tiny tarsiers, two of the Philippines' most loved sights.

Where you stay

The 4D3N package includes 3 hotel nights. Your room is always private for your group, and you never share a room with strangers, even on a joiner tour.

Hotel check-in is usually 2:00 PM, and check-out is usually 12:00 noon.

Best time to go

  • Peak season: December, Holy Week, and April to May. Book 1–2 months ahead.
  • Low season: June to October. It's quieter, and prices are lower in some months.
